Guild Guidelines
1. Members of the Astorian Alliance are here to have fun playing games. Play
with guild members, quest with guild members, help guild members. That being
said, all guild members should pull their on weight and all guild members
should be respectful to other members. Bad things are going to happen. You will
wipe on an instance because someone was late with a heal. You will get killed
because there was a bad pull. Accidents happen and life goes on. Remember it's
just a game.
2. There a number of great tools available to Guild Launch users and we will
make use of as many as we can. These include the character profiler, guild profiler, and
calendar to name a few. Please remember to update your character information
often using the Guild Launch mod, at least once a week. This can really help
with keeping track of what everyone is up too and it will help to coordinate
guild events and game progression.
3. This is a casual guild, but an active guild. Please use the forums to keep
in touch with members when you're not in game. Also, if you're going to be away
from the game for a while, because we all have lives outside of WoW, please let
an officer know or make a post in the forums.
4. Please refrain from using profanity or talking crudely in the general chat
channels (either in guild chat or vent). Sure, accidents happen, but "hey
f**k you punk b***h motherf***er. I hope you get hit by a f***in' car
a**hole." isn't an accident and it's not french. When it comes to humor,
Chuck Norris jokes, though really lame, are okay. Dead baby jokes and "yo
mama so fat" jokes, are not so okay. What you talk about in private chat is your business, just keep it clean in general chat. This isn't the barrens, so let's
try and keep it moderately civilized.
5. If you have an issue with someone in the guild or the way something was
handled, please let an officer or myself know. Guilds have officers for a
reason, we might as well put ours to good use. There is absolutely no reason,
ever, to use general guild chat to air our dirty laundry. If you have a problem
with someone, speak to them about it in private and do so in a friendly manner.
6. No one should charge another guild member money for their services and no
one should expect anything for free. If you would like something crafted for
you or you would like something enchanted, you need to supply the materials. If
you don't feel like taking the time or spending the money, then the enchanter
or crafter can charge for it, but it should only be the amount of the mats.
7. Remember directly under your character's name is "
